Hello, my name is Oke Atatah. I am a 26 year old entrepreneur from Houston, Texas. The purpose of this blog is to write about what I feel a meaningful life is, continued struggles, successes, and drive of my current business ventures, and to make a definite impact in the world.
Currently I work for a civil engineering company in the storm water department. I have worked a little over a year in corporate america and came to realization after 3 months of working that this wasn’t the life for me. I have always felt that there was a higher calling in life for myself then to spend it in a cubicle. I know that with the work that I would have been doing as an engineer would indeed help people live a better life. HOWEVER, I still wouldn’t feel that I did anything in the world to make lives for myself, family, and friends, and the world to make a bigger than life contribution.
So the quest to live the life of freedom, taking life head on, and seeing the direct fruits of my labor from businesses and charitable causes that I start is just begun.
If you are reading this about page and blog right now and are excited for what I am doing then great. I thank you so much for taking the time to read what I feel and what I am doing. But if you are just reading and going on with your life on the steady path of no change than I would ask you to stop reading. Simply because you have ultimate control of your life and you should be improving yourself each and everyday and by what I write motivates you to change a bad habit, way of thinking, or simply to get out of the routine life style than JUST DO IT. Remember, open mindedness and seeing things in different lights will “only” help you reach your fullest potential in life.
