Always follow your first instinct
This is not a rule, it is human nature. Just think about it for alittle bit. Most of the time you are right about your decision, but you change it. Then it bites you in the ass.
Are you scared of competition?
I have really been thinking of this question since last night reading a couple of blogs and watching this video. I started to panic and thinking of what I was going to do if there was competition, because it will come. First one out doesn’t mean that you will be on top forever. People can see what you are doing, copy your idea and make it even better. There will be people doing so and you just have to be ready, or you will be back to the drawing board. That is the nature of business, nothing is fair in the world and you have to go for what you want and be able to react to competition.
Ramblings of the Week of 8/20/06
What a week, the ups and downs of getting things done in the business to attending useless meetings. It never ends, however there has been tons of things learned that will help me for now on when situations arise.
Why do THINGS die off?
Not the best title for what I am going to talk about but yall will get what is going on once it is all said and done. This particular topic has got me thinking quite a bit about the ups and downs of business, relationships, people continuing bad habits, the market research, and so on. Everything is really related to each other because they have there peaks and there lows, but they will eventually end(well not all of them, but a good number of them).
Little sayings that keep you going…
Quotes that are remembered
There are many sayings that people like, hate, live their lives by, and just keep them sane throughout the week. My favorite one is “Life is what you make of it”, well it is also the domain of the website, but I never really gave a reason why. There are some that are recent that really drive and motivate me. Some of them are:
Vacation and Reflections
The end to a Beginning
My vacation was a great one, just as anyone else that is stressed at work or simply tired of the routine lifestyle. I loved catching up with my good friend. But the simple fact that I got away from it all and did something for me. However, that got me thinking that that kind of peace can happen anytime and anywhere I want. I don’t have to leave the city I am currently living in (although I highly recommend that you do at times) to experience clarity and a peace of mind. So one of the task that I am going to work on is to find more activities to enrich my current relationships and enlighten new contacts.
I didn’t know it got this crazy!!!
This business stuff is just unreal. Meetings left and right, communication conflicts, alot of time driving, getting help from business minded people about certain issues of the business ideal, and so on. And still no where near being finish to launch the business is frustrating, but also exciting.
If I won a million dollars would I still be an entrepreneur?
I am sure this question has popped up from time to time, but have you really sat down and truely thought about what you would do. I know that alot of people would say I would quit my job and “Do the things they have always want”. Then I started to wonder what people’s real passions are and if they had a chance to do them what was the ultimate limiting factor.
The frustrations of getting shit done in a business.
